Network Issues

We experienced some network issues this morning. We are using the schools broadband and we needed more ip addresses than were available in the range we had been allocated.

The solution involved me driving 35km home to pick up an old Netgear WGR614 router. This router has a single RJ45 socket for inward traffic and then splits into 4 outward RJ45 sockets. The nice thing about it is it accepts a single inward IP address and then acts as a DHCP server allocating ip addresses to all our computers. This gave us 253 unique ip addresses which is more than enough for our requirements.
